THIS WEEK AT JEANNE'S KITCHEN
This week Jeanne will be visiting her family, but Karen will keep the kitchen running for breakfast and lunch. This Tuesday and Wednesday, we will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

We will be closed December 25 and 26 for the Christmas
holiday and open for regular hours on December 30 and 31.

We will have our special New Year's Eve Buffet on December 31.

Two events are planned at the Bluffton Public Library early this week before the library closes Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday for Christmas vacation.

On Monday, Dec. 22, Santa’s fire truck will be at the library at 6 p.m. The event will include a visit from Santa, members of the Bluffton fire department, a big red truck and stories and games.

On Tuesday, Dec. 23, at 3:30 p.m. the movie “Elf” will be shown. Bring some cookies to share if you wish.

The SPARK program is a new training option specifically designed for youth in grades 6-12  offered at BFR Sports and Fitness starting in early January.

Each 30-minute workout will be led by a BFR staff trainer and will include drills to increase speed, change of direction, explosion as well as build muscular strength and increased flexibility. 

Each workout will use a variety of training tools including agility ladders, jump boxes, medicine balls, band work plus body resistance exercises and floor work.

Do you love English muffins as much as the Icon loves them?

If so read on and you may never need to have store-bought English muffins on your grocery list.

These muffins are a bit tricky to create, but we are certain that after the first skillet comes off the oven top, you’ll figure out the secret to create a perfect one.

Here’s all you need:
   4 cups of white flour
   1 ½ teaspoon salt
   ½ teaspoon sugar
   1 tablespoon yeast
   1 tablespoon olive oil

We created 16 muffins from this recipe.
