Bluffton University’s production of Thornton Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize-winning “The Skin of Our Teeth” opens this Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in College Hall’s Ramseyer Auditorium.
In this scene, family maid Sabina, played by Brianna Lugibihl (right), a junior from Gomer, Ohio, asks her employers, Mr. and Mrs. Antrobus (Joe Wilson, a senior from Covington, Ohio, and Rebecca Juliana, a junior from Mechanicsburg, Pa.), for money to go to the movies.
The show will also be staged at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
Gloria J. Neuenschwander, 83, of Beaverdam died 6:55 p.m. Oct. 26, 2014, at Lima Memorial Hospital. She was born Aug. 14, 1931, in Beaverdam to the late Roy and Florence Walters Beemer. She married Allison Neuenschwander and he survives.
Shewas a homemaker and had worked at Marimor Industries and Moser Eggs. She was a member of the Beaverdam Church of Christ and was a graduate of Beaverdam High School.

Bluffton Pirates football team had a big day, shutting out Paulding Panthers 48-0 at Harmon Field on Oct. 24. A stadium full the Pirates showed up in all phases to come out on top.
Mid-way through the first quarter Mitchell Ault found Robbie Stratton on a 27 yard pass completion for a touchdown. Point after kick by Kaleb Jefferson was good, 7-0 Bluffton. During the 2nd quarter BHS put their foot on the gas pedal and didn’t let up scoring 5 touchdowns.
he Bluffton University Residence Hall Association will host “trunk or treat” in the Sommer Center parking lot from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, corresponding with trick or treat in the Bluffton community.
Campus organizations will decorate car trunks and pass out candy to visiting youngsters during the event.
