A mom-to-mom sale takes place Saturday, Oct. 18, from  9 a.m. to noon at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 9340 Township Road 32, Jenera. Donations of two canned goods at the door are accepted.

Donferd D. Nussbaum , 78, of Akron, Pa., died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2014, at a nursing facility in New Jersey.

He was born in Dalton, Ohio, to the late Noah and Agnes Nussbaum and was the
husband to the late Frances M. (Mauger) Nussbaum with whom he shared 46 years
of marriage.

Tickets are available for Bluffton University’s fall production of the Pulitzer Prize-winning “The Skin of Our Teeth,” by Thornton Wilder.

Bluffton High School girls' cross country team finished second and the boys' team third in the Northwest Conference cross country meet held late last week.

Bluffton's Elizabeth Nisly (20:52) finished second with teammate Sydney Hoff (20:57) following in third place for the girls' team.

Columbus Grove won the boys' Northwest Conference cross country title in a close battle with Lincolnview finishing in the runner-up position.  The event was run at Spencerville's cross country course located at Spencerville High School.
