Bluffton University will celebrate service, achievement and charitable giving at the President’s Banquet on Homecoming Saturday, Oct. 10. Dr. James M. Harder, university president, will host a reception beginning at 5:30 p.m. in Burcky Gym, followed by the banquet at 6:30 p.m. in Founders Hall.
Two alumni awards will be presented during the banquet.
Bluffton mayor Judy Augsburger cuts the ribbon, assisted by Ryan Brauen, during the Wessler Engineering open house on Friday. Members of the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce and Wessler Engineering help out.
Bluffton High School marching band member, Nick Luke, performs with the brass section during a halftime performance. The band's next Harmon Field show is Friday night.
Bluffton Elementary PTO announces a fundraising campaign underway now through Oct. 22, according to Tammy Whitlow.
"Our goal is to raise $100 between now and Oct. 22," she said.
