Jessica Grandey was offered a position with the Bluffton schools as assistant treasurer. The Bluffton school board approved offering Grandey the contract during a special meeting on July 26.
The contract is for two years with an annual salary of $39,000 for fiscal year 2015, with an exception for days not worked prior to commencement date of Aug. 6, 2014.
On behalf of the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce, we would like to extend our condolences to the family and friends of Ralf, the employees and co-workers at Grob, members of the Bluffton community, and to all those impacted by this tragedy.
We had the opportunity to host Ralf at a recent chamber meeting and he left a lasting impression with all in attendance. It was obvious he was passionate about Grob and all the exciting projects happening at Grob.
In May the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce invited Ralf Bronnenmeier as a guest breakfast speaker.
Our experience inviting speakers falls in one of three categories:
1 the invitee needs to think about it and get back to us later,
2 the invitee needs to check his calendar and get back to us later,
(Categories 1 and 2 require a second phone call to the invitee for a definite yes or no)
3 the invitee asks, “Why do you want me as your speaker?”
We invited Ralf and his response was none of the above. It was immediate.
