Nate Simonds tosses complete game in 4-2 loss to Moravian

On the Beavers' sixth day down in Florida, they ran into a stiff test from the Moravian Greyhounds. It was low scoring affair as pitching dominated the day and Bluffton dropped only its second game of the season by a score of 4-2.

The Beavers got everything they could ask for and more out of starting pitcher Nate Simonds (Ypsilanti Mich,/Lincoln) who went the complete nine innings. He worked very efficiently, throwing only 102 pitches.

Bob Dylan tickets on sale today for April BGSU concert

Legendary musician and cultural icon Bob Dylan will perform at the Bowling Green State University Stroh Center on Sunday, April 21, 2013. 

Doors open at 6:30, Los Angeles-based folk-rock band Dawes opens the show at 7:30 p.m., and Dylan takes the stage at 8:30 p.m.

Tickets go on sale today, Friday, March 8 at 10 a.m. at the Stroh Center box office and at ticketmaster.com.

General admission tickets are $35 and $45. Student tickets are $25 and available with a student ID at the Stroh Center box office.

The recipe's still a family secret

Although the official recipe is still a family secret, Luke Young holds his version of the famous Gillette sausage roll, a Bluffton icon. Young prepared the rolls for the March 8 Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce breakfast.

Tree trimming and pruning program March 12 at public library

The Gardener's of the Bluffton/Pandora Area will hold a program on tree trimming and pruning. The program is at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 12, at the  Bluffton Public Library lower level.

An expert from Tawa Tree Co., Ottawa,  will talk about the proper way to prune and trim a tree, both the techniques involved and the best tools to use.

The program is free and open to the public.
