A name that is fading from the Bluffton vernacular is "Gratz Crossing." It is where the Dixie Highway crosses the Norfolk Southern Railway track where it connects to Phillips Road south of Bluffton.

This photo shows the Lake Erie and Western Railroad track from "Gratz Crossing." On the far right is the Western Ohio Railroad (interurban) These two track were side by side  at this point. This view looks toward Lima to the south. The photographer was S.A. Amstutz. This is a glass plate negative.

The Bluffton Area Ministerial Association (BAMA) is planning an outdoor community worship service on Sunday July 28, at 9 a.m. 

This worship service comes at the end of a week of Vacation Bible School (VBS) hosted this year at the First Mennonite Church. The theme for the service is “Many Gifts, One Spirit,” growing out of the VBS curriculum. Worship will include music by the children who attended VBS and several brief reflections about the new things that are happening in the community.

Jim Kinn of Kirtland's Auto Sales, North Main Street, Bluffton, announces a new manager's special. It is a 2006 Toyota Rav 4 listed at $11,495.

Brendon L. Matthews, Senior Vice President and Sales Director of First National Bank, recently graduated from the Paul W. Barret, Jr. Graduate School of Banking.

Matthews was an honors graduate at the recent ceremony.

Fifty-four students completed the three year curriculum and graduated in the 2013 class. 

If you enjoyed the downtown Bluffton Festival of Wheels, you are in for a treat. Richland Manor will hold a cruise night, Friday, June 21, starting at 4 p.m.

This is the sixth annual cruise night at Richland Manor, 7400 Swaney Road, Bluffton.

Antique car owners are invited to bring their vehicles to show. Awards for the top five cars and trucks and the best motorcycle, will be awarded.
