A special Thanksgiving Day service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jenera, at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 24.

Pastor Jeff Bolwerk will conduct the service and deliver the message. The choir will sing "A Servant in Your Heavenly House" and the church will be decorated with harvest items.

The Rochester College Warriors battled back from a 19-point first half deficit to upend the Beavers, 66-61, in the 2011 Bluffton Tip-Off Tournament finals on Saturday, Nov. 19. Bluffton dropped to 1-1 on the season, while Rochester improved to 6-4 overall.

Q: What's one quarter century old, but ever changing?

A: Bluffton's Blaze of Lights. This year's Blaze continues a tradition launched in 1986 when the Harry and Dorothy Ream outdoor Christmas folk art display moved from rural Jenera to Bluffton.

Lisa Rettig

Citizens National Bank has named Lisa Rettig as Human Resource Manager.

Rettig had previously worked in the human resource department for CNB and rejoins the organization after working with other area organizations as a HR Generalist and VP of Finance and Human Resources.

J. Michael Romey, President/CEO, said of Rettig, "We're happy to welcome Lisa back to CNB and feel her knowledge of our organization will aid her in developing effective training programs and guiding new employees through the orientation process."

Bluffton Public Library will host a local author signing event on Thursday, Dec. 1, at 6:30 p.m. Fred Steiner of the Bluffton Icon, will be on hand to discuss his newly published book, "A Good Place to Miss - Bluffton Stories 1900-1975."
