Let's get married on St. Patrick's Day in downtown Bluffton.

Could this be the beginning of a trend...downtown Bluffton as a place to get married?

We understand that Timothy L. Mullens, of Sevierville, Tenn., and Heidi Harrington also of Sevierville, are going downtown Bluffton to get hitched.

Heidi is an art education graduate from Bluffton University. Tim attended ONU.

Last Supper should be first on food consumers' minds

The Last Supper should be the focus of every meal we prepare and consume, according to the keynote speaker at a Bluffton University-hosted conference on ethical food production.

"Our meals should be framed around the supper of the lamb," said Ragan Sutterfield, speaking Feb. 19 at the Intercollegiate Peace Fellowship conference. His session on "The Supper of the Lamb: Learning to Eat at God's Table" was the last of three he addressed during the weekend event.

Program of liturgical dance Sunday at Presbyterian Church

The Bluffton Presbyterian Church will host a program of liturgical dance during the worship service on Sunday, Feb. 27, at 10:15 a.m. The worship dancers are from Bluffton University and include Amanda Reinehr, Heather Hardman, Holly McClish and Katie Pash.

Post-prom meeting March 7

All Bluffton High School Junior Class parents are invited to a Post-Prom Planning Meeting on Monday, March 7, at 6:30 p.m. in the high school Cafeteria. Parents who would like to be involved but are unable to attend this meeting are asked to contact Susan Liska.

Kansas pastor returns to Bluffton University

Katherine Goerzen has always loved youth and serving. In fact, her call to ministry came when she was still in high school.

"I was really active in youth group when my youth pastor asked me to lead worship," Goerzen said. "I found out later on he saw a drive for ministry in me."

Bluffton's garage sale season starts officially at 4:30 p.m. Friday

Garage sale season is officially on!

The S.H.A.N.N.O.N. Service Club of Bluffton (Sharing Hopes And Nourishing Needs Of Neighbors) is sponsoring its 8th annual community garage/craft sale on Friday, Feb. 25, and Saturday, Feb. 26, at The Centre at Bluffton, 601 N. Main St.

The event is from 4:30-8:30 p.m. Feb. 25, and 9 a.m. to noon, and Saturday, Feb. 26, from 9 a.m. to noon. Duane Bollenbacher of the club says to note the change of starting time (4:30 p.m.) on Friday from previous years.

"Parking is free and admission is $1.
