Fording the stream

We are counting the days. The Spring Street bridge across Riley Creek at the Buckeye is being replaced. The bridge was knocked out of commission by the August 2007 flood. The lack of access to this corner of town has caused a great strain on DTR associates traveling to and from work. It has also caused problems for persons wanting to dump items at the Spring Street recycle center.

The arch bridge

Yes, an idyllic scene from Bluffton, Ohio, in the 1800s. Can you place the location of this colorized post card photo? The bridge, known as the "arch" bridge once crossed Riley Creek where the Little and Big Rileys join. The one-lane bridge was removed in the late 1950s when the present structure, which may be built better, but lacks the architectural attractiveness, was installed.

A Freemason plate

The Icon spotted this plate on Main Street. Do you suppose BB became a Mason in 1966?
