Water main project moves to South Jackson Street
The Grove, Jackson and Lawn Avenue water main replacement project is underway and, according to Jamie Mehaffie, village administrator, “Progressing well.”
In Monday’s Bluffton council packet Mehaffie writes that “as of a conversation on Friday the contractor was hoping to make it to Main Street by the end of the day. Their plan is to begin the section of South Jackson Street between Grove and Kibler this coming week.”
In other village business, Mehaffie will announce a “scoping meeting” on Thursday with Ohio Department of Transportation officials. The meeting’s purpose is to review the Augsburger Road Pathway Project.
The village has applied for financial assistance for this project for the past two years with no success. However, with the assistance of Thom Mazur from the Lima Allen County Regional Planning Commission, the village is now in line for ODOT funding.
The complete Monday council packet is available in the attachment below.
