Think spring: 45th annual arts and crafts show planning underway
Mark your calendar. Plans are underway for the 2016 Bluffton Arts and Crafts Show.
This is the 45th annual show with this year's event on Saturday, May 14, in downtown Bluffton. The show is held in conjunction with the Bluffton Soccer Club's tournament, held the same weekend at Bluffton University. These two events make for a busy Bluffton weekend with hundreds of out-of-town visitors spending time in Bluffton.
In addition, the Bluffton Farmers' Market, in the Citizens National Bank parking lot, will take place on the morning of the show.
Arts and crafts vendor invitations are going out now. And, based upon last year's numbers, this year's show will have an anticipated 70-plus booths on Main Street, stretching from the town hall to the post office.
A vendor invitation letter and registration form are attachments to this story. Booth prices remain at $40 if registration is received before May 1. After May 1, a booth cost is $60. Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce members have free booths.
Jerry Burkholder is the arts and crafts show director.
Several elements of this year's show are still in the planning stages. Those events will be announced later.
