Seth Gladwell, Icon student artist of the month
Seth Gladwell, a Bluffton High School senior, is the Icon's student artist of the month.
He has taken Art One, Design One, Ceramics One, Mural and Cremices Two.
"In Ceramics Two I tried something new this year where I added strips of clay to the top of my pot that I threw on the pottery wheel and then continued to throw it larger," he said.
"This allowed me to get it the height that I wanted it to be. This took me about two weeks to throw.
"Since I am also in Mural Painting I had the pleasure to paint in one of the kindergarten rooms, which took me about a month to complete. I also helped to paint the Community Market windows for Christmas."
Seth's plans for after high school are to attend the University of Tampa, majoring in marine biology.
Vickie Garmon is the BHS art teacher.
