Doubles Julia Smallcombe-Olivia Barnes and Ellie Nickel-Libby Frazier winners

BLUFFTON - The Bluffton girls tennis team lost a 3-2 nailbiter to visiting Archbold Saturday afternoon.
The close defeat dropped the Lady Pirate record to 3-9 this season.
The Pirate girls won both doubles matches, but lost all three singles bouts.
Bluffton seniors Julia Smallcombe and Olivia Barnes combined for a 6-3, 1-6, 6-3 victory at first doubles.
Pirate juniors Ellie Nickel and Libby Frazier teamed up to win 6-3, 6-4 at second doubles.
Freshmen Brooke Camper and Caitlyn Couch lost two-setters at first and second singles, respectively. Senior Pearl Lewandowski dropped a 7-5, 6-1 decision at third doubles.
Bluffton is scheduled to host St. Marys Monday, September 21. They then visit Van Wert Sept. 22, and host LCC Sept. 23.
