Will someone please turn on the lights
Improved nighttime lighting, sidewalk extensions, crosswalk improvements, sign replacements and another look at village entry points.
These are among topics under review by the members of the Bluffton council streets, lights, alleys and sidewalk committee. Members are Joe Sehlhorst and Jerry Cupples.
Meeting for over 1 hours on May 27, Sehlhorst updated the entire council on discussion points of that meeting during council's Monday session.

Fourteen locations in town were identified without current lighting and 10 locations were identified as needing improvement or additional lighting.
Those locations are attached at the bottom of this story.
The committee also reviewed a lighting plan for Parkview Phase 2, the need for a crosswalk improvement at Jefferson-Huber streets, a sign placement program.

Utilities Committee – Monday, June 28, noon
Council Meeting – Monday, June 28, at 7 p.m.
Streets, Alleys, Lights & Sidewalk Committee – Tuesday, June 29, 5:30 p.m.
