Girl Scouts in Bluffton are ready for annual cookie sales, which fund local scouting activities throughout the year. On January 7, Bluffton scouts from 5 local troops (kindergarten to 8th grade) met at the Bluffton United Methodist Church for activities to prepare them for cookie sales.

The girls set sales goals, learned how to conduct sales safely and taste-tested the products. Two scouts are raising funds to travel to the Dominican Republic in 2024. This tour will include a service project, opportunities to learn about local culture and reforestation projects, and activities such as zip lining and a visit to Tres Ojos Caves.

In 2022 a new cookie is being introduced: Adventurefuls are “an indulgent brownie-inspired cookie with caramel-flavored crème and a hint of sea salt, with an incredible taste of adventure in every bite.” Sales will also include favorites like Thin Mints, Samoas, and Tagalongs.

For the next few weeks, Girl Scouts will be taking individual orders and selling cookies through the Digital Cookie online platform for direct shipment or local delivery. From February 18-March 20, they will hold cookie booths at local businesses and drive-through locations.
