ICYMI: July 2025 Bluffton Icon Highlights
By Paula Pyzik Scott
Bluffton Icon owner-editor
In case you missed it: Welcome to Issue 4 of Bluffton Icon Highlights, July 2025.
The following 20 articles have been selected for the July 2025 Bluffton Icon Highlights, which will be printed and distributed to the Bluffton Public Library, Bluffton Senior Center and Musselman Library at Bluffton University. Some 95 articles were published on the Icon in total during the month.
This is a reverse-engineered version of the top stories on BlufftonIcon.com. Page totals, page numbers and page breaks are just part of the learning curve when adapting a website for 8.5 x 11 paper. One of the joys of editing the Bluffton Icon is never having to worry if an article is too short or too long. It’s also rarely too late to put an item on the website.
With Bluffton Schools and Bluffton University news slowed down to the usual summer trickle, I expect June, July and part of August to be lighter news months. But it certainly doesn’t feel that way this summer!
Obituaries are an extremely important part of the Bluffton Icon. This month we shared an obituary for Nancy Fultz, a beloved teacher and mentor who taught kindergarten for an amazing 49 years. An outpouring of appreciation can be found on the Icon’s Facebook page, were we have over 7,000 followers.
This month we say goodbye to advertisers The Dough Hook Meat Market and Greenhorn restaurant, which are closing. At the same time, we’re saying hello to Luvu A Latte coffee shop of Bluffton and Viva Maria restaurant of Ada.
Free Bluffton area news--online and on these printed pages--is made possible by our advertisers. Drop me a line at [email protected] or call 567-400-4266 for more information.
