Door to door Girl Scout cookie sales have begun in Bluffton. On Friday, January 6, local troops parcipated in a rally where scouts were given a refresher course on product options, including a new cookie--the Raspberry Rally--which will be available in February.
At the rally, the scouts made posters, practiced their sales pitches, played games and sampled cookies.
This year's cookie lineup is:
Adventurefuls™, Girl Scout S'mores®, Lemon-Ups®, Trefoils®, Do-si-dos®, Tagalongs®, Samoas®, Thin Mints®, Toffee-tastic® and the new Raspberry Rally™.
The long history of Girl Scout cookie sales began with homemade cookies in about 1917; in the 1930s a Philadelphia council began selling commercially baked cookies.
Stay tuned for announcements on booth sales by Bluffton scouts.
