Romick Railway for kids will participate in this year's Bluffton Blaze of Lights. This is the kid's railway's third visit to the Blaze.

The railway will be in the Blaze parade. Following the parade, kid's rides will be available in front of Greg's Pharmacy until later into the evening.

The third annual Cory-Rawson cheerleading holiday craft show and bake sale is Saturday, Nov. 21.

The event is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Cory-Rawson schools. Over 40 crafters and vendors will paprticipate.

There will be a 50/50 raffle, basket raffles and concessions.

All proceeds to benefit Cory-Rawson cheerleading program.

 

The Bluffton Lions again will be holding a chicken dinner on Saturday, Nov. 28 from 4-7 p.m. Pre-sale tickets offered at $8.50 each are available through a Lions member or the Edward Jones office on Main St. This year's dinner will be held in a new location -- the basement of the Bluffton Presbyterian Church, Main Street.

Ted’s Market in Pandora will be providing the food for this event; a meal includes ½ chicken, au gratin potatoes, green beans, roll and butter. Coffee or cold drink is included.

The Bluffton High School Drama Club presents "The Sinister Senior Sabotage" as its fall play.

Performances are Friday and Saturday, Nov. 13 and 14 in the middle school cafetorium. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the curtain is at 7:30 p.m.

General admission tickets are available at the door. Adults $4 and students $2.

Here's the story line:
Each senior student has a different plan, but students must find a way to work together.

The Beaverdam Veterans Memorial Committee is creating a memorial to honor veterans, according to Gary Crawfis, committee member.

"The granite memorial that we have been working on has been ordered. It is to honor all area U.S. veterans and active service members, said Crawfis. "We would like to thank all who contributed in our fund raising efforts, from numerous raffles to a GOBA snack stop."

Cheryl and Thom Craig and Larry Core will be at the Bluffton Elementary School at 8 a.m. on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, to show 4th graders the correct procedure on folding the American flag.  

Members of Bluffton American Legion Post 382, Boy Scouts and Bluffton High School students will meet on the lawn by the high school and College Avenue at 10:30 a.m. for a ceremony about Veterans Day.  

Fred Rodabaugh. Commander of the Post will speak briefly and Misha Groman, will speak about the correct procedure of retiring a flag. Flags will be burnt in accordance to regulations.
