12 games in three holiday tournaments

Ready for some basketball? High school boys’, university women or university men. Take your pick.

Between tonight and Saturday you can watch up to 12 games in three McDonald’s Holiday Basketball Tournaments with all games in Bluffton.

A high school boys’ tourney is Tuesday and Wednesday at Bluffton High School. A university women’s tourney is Thursday and Friday at Bluffton University. And, a university men’s tourney is Friday and Saturday also at Bluffton University.

Win moves BHS to 5-3 overall

Bluffton High School girls' basketball team improved to 5-3 on the season as the Pirates defeated Lima Central Catholic 48-45.

Luke Denecker leads BHS with 16 points

Bluffton High School boys' basketball team won its first game of the season, stopping McComb 66-51 Saturday night on the road.

Luke Denecker lead the Pirates with 16 points. BHS is 1-4 overall. McComb is 1-1.

May 13 at Lancaster High School

The Ohio High School Athletic Association will conduct its Inaugural 7th and 8th Grade Track and Field State Championships on May 13, 2017, OHSAA Commissioner Dr. Dan Ross has announced.

The event, which has been discussed for several years by the OHSAA’s Middle School Committee, was officially approved by the OHSAA Board of Directors at its October meeting. 

Qualifying standards and state qualifiers will be coordinated through an online process at www.BaumsPage.com, with the one-day state championships set for Lancaster High School. 

Alivia Koenig leads Pirates with 18 points

Bluffton High School girls' basketball team defeated Crestview tonight (Dec. 8) in a Northwest Conference contest 52-42. Alivia Koenig lead BHS with 18 points.
