The Bluffton junior varsity girls' soccer game kicked off at 10 a.m. on Saturday against Riverdale. Sophomore Hannah Yost in the goal blocked multiple shots to hold the Falcons to 1 goal at half time.
In the second half, freshman goalkeeper, Lilly Campbell, also blocked several shots by Riverdale, but the Falcon offense was strong, the final score was 0-5 Riverdale.
The varsity game started at noon in Bluffton, with Senior Captain Jadyn Barhorst in the goal. WIth 14 minutes left in the first half, Riverdale landed the first goal.
In this week's action, Shawnee defeated Bluffton in volleyball 3-0.
Scores were as follows: 9-25; 18-25; 16-25.
Lead hitter was Haley Baker with 8 kills and 26 attempts.
Lead blocker was Katie Prater with 6 blocks, Andi Schmutz with 5, and Jazmynn Wilson with 5.
Haley Baker also had 12 digs in the game.
Bluffton High School boys' soccer team scored 3 goals in first half and 3 goals in second half for 6-0 win over Paulding – the first game in Northwest Conference play for both teams.

• Antony Kingsley headed in a sideline throw by Isaiah Schwab (assist) at 68 minutes
For the sixth consecutive year, Bluffton defeated Cory-Rawson to open the season.
The Pirates poured in three third quarter touchdowns to power to a 27-0 victory, the fourth time in five seasons BHS has shut out their neighbors to the north. The win was the first career victory for head coach Jeff Richards.
