The biggest play of the BHS-Spencerville game came with 23 seconds left in the game on special teams as Noah Stratton blocked an extra point to seal the game at 14-13 for the Pirates.
The first score of the game didn’t come until the second quarter as Mitchell Ault hit Robbie Stratton for 14 yards and a score.
Spencerville’s defense would get the scoring for them as Aaron Crider recovered a fumble in the Pirate’s end zone in the third quarter to tie the game.
Bluffton High School is host to an OHSAA Division III girls' soccer sectional. on Tuesday, Oct. 15, and Saturday, Oct. 19. Games are played at Steinmetz Field.
Teams in the sectional are Cory-Rawson, Ada, Allen East, Bluffton, Van Buren,and Liberty Benton.

Bluffton University is host to the OHSAA Division IV girls' volleyball sections on Oct. 15 and 17. Teams competing include Arcadia, Van Buren, Pandora-Gilboa, Riverdale, McComb, Cory-Rawson and North Baltimore.

With the Northwest Conference title on the line, Bluffton High School girls soccer team wasted little time kicking its game into gear Tuesday. Four first-half goals staked the Pirates to a big lead en route to a 6-0 victory.
Tournament The girls will start the post season on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 7:15 at Steinmetz Field. Bluffton entertains Allen East, the co-NWC champs. The boys' team start its post season vs. Cory-Rawson at Riverdale on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 1:30 p.m.
