Kathryn (Lehman) Harsha and Kirsten Halker-Kratz are giving back to the Bluffton University music department that helped mold them 20 years ago.

Harsha and Halker-Kratz, who graduated from Bluffton in 1995 and ’96, respectively, are returning to campus Saturday, May 2, for a piano and organ recital that will also serve as a fundraiser for the music department. The May Day event will begin at 4:30 p.m. in Yoder Recital Hall.

Bluffton University recognized many of its top students for their academic achievements at the annual Academic Awards and Honors Forum on April 21.

Honored as distinguished scholars in their respective academic areas were 36 seniors. Drew Luginbuhl of Bluffton was named distinguished scholar in two programs—information technology and mathematics.

You may have seen some of the musicals referenced in this year’s May Day musical at Bluffton University, whether on stage, film or both.

You may have even seen some of them produced at Bluffton in the 1970s, ‘80s and ‘90s, during what is now a century-old tradition of May Day theatricals on campus.
