Here's a view of Bluffton that you've never seen.

Dick Boehr shared with the Icon several Bluffton College photographs from the early 1920 in his collection. This is among that group of photos.

You can't take this photo today because all the trees in the university woods block the view.

Mildred Laudick was a retired machinist at ATI, Ada

Mildred L. Laudick, 80, died on Friday, June 5, 2020, at 2:53 a.m. at the Shawnee Manor in Lima, Ohio.

She was born on July 8, 1939, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Harold and Pauline (Donehoo) Steele. Mildred was formerly married to Paul J. Laudick and he preceded her in death on July 11, 1999.

Mildred retired from ATI of Ada, where she worked as a machinist.

It's show time at the Shannon!

2 oldies but goodies reopen Bluffton theatre on Friday evening

“I’ll take a large container of popcorn with butter and a soft drink.”

You’ve not heard this request in Bluffton since mid-March.

You’ll hear in Friday, as the Shannon Theatre reopens, according to Pete Suter of the theater, in a reopening with two laid-back oldies but goodies “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” (1986) and “Kung Fu Panda” (2008).

Here’s the movie schedule with theatre guidelines:
• Evening shows are: Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (PG-13)
Shows are every evening at 7 p.m. as well as on Friday and Saturday at 9:30 p.m.
