BLUFFTON - The host Buffton baseball team lost 18-3 to hard-hitting McComb Monday evening.
The Pirates fell to 0-3 with the defeat, while McComb improved to 1-1 with the five-inning, run-rule shortened victory.
The Panthers broke away from a 1-1 game with consecutive six-run frames in the second and third innings. McComb added five more runs in the top of the fourth to build an 18-2 cushion.
Bluffton plated single runs in the first, second and fourth innings.
FROM ADA ICON - Here's a less-than-30-second video showing the Ada school wind turbine as it fell to the ground. It has been out of service for several years. These photos are still frames from the video. Click here to watch the fall: https://photos.app.goo.gl/focJWT7EPsusKH8M6
Can you see it? A young garter snake watches the Icon's photographer as it slides through the leaves near Little Riley Creek. About 15 inches long, this location along Campus Drive is a spot where several members of this family hang out during the summer.
So, you think you know Bluffton? Okay, where is this? Answer tomorrow.
And, if you really want a brain teaser, the photo below shows this week's "So, you think you know Ada (posted on the Ada Icon)." Answer to this one also tomorrow.
The Bluffton University baseball team played like it was sunny and 70 on Sunday, March 28. Bluffton hammered Franklin 15-5 in six and a half innings in game one before the visiting Grizzlies earned a split with a 9-1 victory in the nightcap. The Beavers moved to 3-11 on the season and in the HCAC while Franklin stands at 7-5 on both accounts.
