Women's bball: Beavers win on the road at Kalamazoo

The Bluffton University women's basketball team took advantage of a big second half run and a balanced scoring attack to post a 74-57 victory on the road at Kalamazoo College on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013. The win pushed the Beavers over the .500 mark to 2-1 on the early campaign, while the Hornets fell to 0-3.

Earlier this month Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs held its annual fund raiser at the Bluffton Airport. During the event tours were given in the airport hangar.

Santa in Common Grounds Saturday morning - 10 a.m. to noon

Santa Claus is coming to Bluffton Saturday morning. 

The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce has four Santa visits between Nov. 23 and Dec. 13.

Here are those dates and locations:

 

Saturday, Nov. 23 – Santa arrives in the old Bluffton fire truck at 10 a.m. and will be in Common Grounds, 101 S. Main St., from 10 a.m. to noon.

Saturday, Nov. 30 - Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus will arrive at the end of the Blaze parade. They will met youth following the Blaze at the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center.

This was Main Street Bluffton in 1966. The photo is from the 1967 Bluffton High School yearbook. 

The photo was taken in front of what today is Chase, looking north. The most noticable change is on the west side of Main where Citizens National Bank is today.
