Bluffton High School students schedules are ready. Students may pick them up at the high school, via the Jackson Street door, today or Monday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

She could be the oldest living Triplett retiree.
Long-time Ada resident, Alice Bucher, now living at Vancrest of Ada, celebrated her 104th birthday on Aug. 14.
Mrs. Bucher was an employee at Triplett Corp., Bluffton, for 22 years, and may be the oldest living Triplett retiree.
She and her husband, Dale, had three children, two boys and one girl. Dale was the Ada scoutmaster for many years and he also served on several community boards and organizations in Ada. He died in 1999.

Bluffton Senior Citizens Center is now open.
The center, at 132 N. Main St., is open, thanks to permission from the Allen County Health Department. Here’s an update from the August newsletter.
• Shop: Only 4 people in the store area at a time and masks are required.
• Lending library: Returned material will be kept for five days, sanitized and then returned to the shelves. One person in the book area at a time. One person in the video area at a time. One person in the puzzle area at a time.
Soccer and football can proceed with games against other schools

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced hat he will sign a new Ohio Department of Health order that permits contact sports, including the fall sports of field hockey, soccer and football, to move forward with games against other schools. The Governor confirmed support for Ohio’s coaches to inspire their student-athletes to continue following safety precautions so that all sports can be played.
