Art students of Krysti's Music Studio have art show April 11

The art students of Krysti’s Music Studio will present an art show from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 11 on the third floor of the Bluffton town hall. Students whose work will be represented include Brice Hogan, Kaelynn Holland, and Danielle Novak. Teachers are Vickie Garmon and Abby Graber. The event is free and open to the public. Students are to answer questions about their pieces. Light refreshments will be served.

Organizational meeting for Arlington farmers' market April 14

The spring organizational meeting for an Arlington community farmers' market will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 14 at Good Hope Lutheran Church. Interested vendors are encouraged to attend. For more information, call 419.358.5582.

As a scholar of 19th-century women’s literature, Dr. Cheri Larsen Hoeckley knows that marriage plays a central role in many classic novels. But the pressure to get married that can be found in those books also lives on in modern movies and culture, the Westmont College professor says.

Bluffton Icon's newest feature is a sports calendar. The monthly calendar includes all Bluffton University and Bluffton High School and Junior High athletic contests.

The Icon welcomes soccer groups, swim team and all other sport teams to submit your season calendars to be added to the Icon calendar.

Everett named HCAC Field Athlete of Week

April 6, 2015

BLUFFTON, Ohio -  Trey Everett (Sidney/Fairlawn) continued his winning pays when the Beavers made the trip to Ohio Wesleyan University on Saturday, April 4. For his work in Delaware, Everett has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week. It marks the fourth time that Everett has taken home this honor in 2015, including two outdoor field athlete of the week awards in the last three weeks.
