Et Cetera Shop closed today (Friday, Feb. 5) due to weather conditions

The Et Cetera Thrift Shop, 327 N. Main St., Bluffton, is closed today (Friday, Feb. 5) due to the weather conditions, according to Chrissy Lugibihl, manager.

“Due to the weather conditions and to ensure the safety of you, our customers and donors, and our volunteers, the Et Cetera Shop will be closed today for both shopping and donations,” she told the Icon.

When they get around to listing the 50 most interesting people who ever lived in Bluffton Joe Urich will be on the list.

He’ll be on the list of the 25 most interesting people who lived in Bluffton. There’s a phrase that best describes Joe’s relationship to Bluffton. Joe was a-man-about-town.

Joanne Reads

Public Library now includes book reviews on its website from Joanne Niswander

Bluffton resident Joanne Niswander is now an outreach patron of the Bluffton Public Library, according to Lauren Canaday, library public service coordinator.

In this role, she will review books and those reviews are posted on the library website.

“Joanne tell me that it's a wonderful project for her during the pandemic and inclement weather,” said Canaday.

The first month's reviews are now posted at https://blufftonpubliclibrary.org/joanne-reads.

Bluffton Diamond Sports spring registration underway

 Bluffton Diamond Sports is accepting registrations for the 2021 baseball and softball season. 

All information and sign-ups can take place on the Bluffton Diamond Sports website at www.bdsonline.org.

More information is on the attachment at the bottom of this story. Registration deadline is Sunday, Feb. 21.
