13 ducklings on Little Riley

The Icon finally succeeded in capturing the LIttle Riley Creek ducklings in one photo – we count 13 following their mother.

This photo was taken from the bridge on Bentley Road looking toward the university, in case you'd like to see them in person. They perform in that location daily.

Below is our attempt to photograph them earlier in the week. At that point the hadn't learned the parade formation demonstrated in today's photo.

My awesome teacher - Mrs. Warner

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 4-8. In cooperation with the Bluffton PTO, the Icon is posting drawings of elementary teachers created by elementary students. Veda Dailey, Kindergartner, created this drawing of her teacher, Mrs. Warner.

Today's BHS seniors in the spotlight

Here's today's installment of the Bluffton High School Class of 2020 Senior Spotlight. Each weekday until the end of May the Icon will feature photos and future plans for four BHS seniors.  Students will be featured in a four-set random order.

Virtual BINGO coming to BFR

Fundraiser on Zoom Friday evening, May 22

Bluffton Family Recreation invites the community to sign up for virtual Bingo on Zoom later this month, according to Daniel Tinch, BFR executive director.

This is a fundraising event and a chance to win kid-friendly and adult-friendly prizes. Specific prizes will be announced soon.

Quack...quack...quack...quack

Under the watchful eye of mother, nearly eight ducklings have taken to the waters of the Little Riley along Campus Drive. It's difficult to photograph all the ducklings in a single photo shot, but the Icon was able to put this three-photo series together.
