They're grilling for lunch on Thursdays at The Dough Hook

Have lunch plans?

The Dough Hook, 117 N. Main St., Bluffton, has  lots of ideas for you. For example, each Thursday in the summer from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., The Dough Hook grills for lunch.

According to Marlena Ballinger, sandwiches off the grill includes cheeseburgers, hamburgers, brats and MooOink burgers. (Those are one-half beef and one-half pork.)

If grilling doesn't do it for you, you can have your own sandwich in three easy steps: 1 - choose your meat
2 - choose your cheese
3 - choose your size

Five area students graduate from ONU

Five area students recently graduated from Ohio Northern University. They are:

Erica Bowling, daughter of Thomas and Kelly Heckman, 2459 County Road 29, Bluffton, graduated Magna Cum Laude. She received the Bachelor of Science in Nursing in nursing. Bowling is a graduate of Pandora- Gilboa High School.

Logan Skelly, son of Karen Musser, 401 Ethan Circle, Bluffton, received the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in marketing. Skelly is a graduate of Bluffton High School.

Jerry Musser owned J.F. Musser Co.

Jerry F. Musser, 72, died at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born Jan. 30, 1944, in Lima to the late Raymond and Dorothy (Jackson) Musser.  On May 9, 1964, he married Carol Kleman Musser and she survives.

Jerry worked at Wonder Bread 20 two years prior to starting his own business, J.F. Musser Co. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bluffton.    

Jerry was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles both of Lima and Ottawa, the Sons of the American Legion and the Loyal Order of the Moose.

Music for art

Nancy Glick, harpist from Findlay, entertained persons visiting LeadingAge of Ohio's northwest district art and writing show. The show took place in Maple Crest. Local winners are listed below.

MHCO artists and authors prove themselves in district show

Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio artist and authors once again proved flexed their creative talents in this year's northwest district of LeadingAge of Ohio art and writing show.

Thirteen Bluffton elders entered a total of 18 works in the show. Seven of those works were awarded first place in their category. Here are Bluffton entries:

Lots of summer camps, team sports, individual training opportunities at BFR

Several sports camps, team sports and individual athletic opportunities are available this summer at Bluffton Family Recreation, according to Joseph Beagle.

Adult softball league
An adult softball league is forming for summer play. Games are Mondays or Wednesdays at 6 p.m. from July 11 to Aug. 17 at the Bluffton village park. The cost per team is $300. Teams can register online at www.bfronline.com/register.
