One step at a time

There's a great message in this sculpture on the Bluffton University campus. Its title, "Reaching Their Goal One Step At A Time," tells it all. The artist in Bluffton alumnae Mary Kline Roynesdal. The sculpture is on the Marbeck Center side of Centennial Hall.

The Inn at ONU summer golfing packages entice golfers to "Stay and Play"

Attention golfers:

The Inn at ONU, in conjunction with several Ada area golf courses, introduces a Northwest Ohio Golf Stay and Play Package this summer.

“We’ll do the planning work, leaving you to enjoy playing golf,” said Tallene Eichelberger, general manager of The Inn at ONU.

“When golfers are not on the course they will appreciate our outstanding accommodations and amenities, including our complimentary fresh start breakfast,” she added.

The music never ceases - here's summer string options

Leonard Slatkin, Detroit Symphony Orchestra director says, "The role of an orchestra in the 21st century isn't just playing, it's about developing future audiences and performers."

That's what Rachael Lewis, Bluffton school strings teacher is doing this summer - developing future audiences and performers.

She's offering a free summer springs program to Bluffton musicians, as she has for many summers.

The program meets on Wednesdays and is for students wishing to keep up their musical skills in the summer. The strings meet in the elementary strings room.

Richard G. Cole, 80, of Bluffton died June 2, 2016, at Bluffton Hospital Emergency Room. Arrangements are incomplete at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.

Here's next week's fresh meal options from The Dough Hook

The Dough Hook, 117 N. Main St., Bluffton, announces next week's fresh meals for a family of four options, according to Marlena Ballinger.

The program includes three meals per week for $49, which comes to $4.08 per person per meal.

Ballinger said that the meal boxes work like this:
After reviewing the menu a week ahead of time, customers may place orders and choose what day the boxes will be picked up.

Ciltizens National Bank named "industry top performer" by bank association

Independent Community Bankers of America recognized Citizens National Bank as an ICBA industry top performer in May. The recognition was published in “Independent Banker” a publication of the organization.

Cob’s recognition is based on the strength of its competitive banking services and operational efficiencies throughout 2015.
