Bluffton University addresses COVID-19

Beginning on March 16 through April 13 academic coursework will take place in an online format and/or remote options

gatherings (any group of
20 or more) and public
events until April 13

Bluffton University, in alignment with Governor Mike DeWine’s recommendations made yesterday, has established the following plan to protect its students, employees, visitors and the Bluffton community.

A pair of familiar faces from Bluffton were recognized when the Heartland Conference handed out its post-season hardware on Thursday, March 5. Senior Tj Mills (Dayton/Chaminade-Julienne) and sophomore Brianna Gillig (New Riegel) both netted Second Team All-HCAC honors following the 2019-20 season.

Bluffton showcases “art all around us” on May 9

On Saturday, May 9, Bluffton will celebrate the “art all around us” with the 49th annual Bluffton Arts & Crafts Festival. This street-festival style show is open to vendors with noncommercial arts and crafts. The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce is taking applications with early bird discounts through April 17.

I-75 in Allen, Hancock now a distracted driving safety corridor

Will see increased enforcement by State Highway Patrol

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and the Ohio State Highway Patrol announced establishment of a distracted driving safety corridor on Interstate 75 in Allen and Hancock counties.

A section of I-75 from south of the village of Beaverdam in Allen County, to the rest areas in Hancock County, south of the city of Findlay, is being designated as a distracted driving safety corridor by a series of signs which warn of the dangers of driving distracted.

The signs are currently being installed in both the northbound and southbound directions.

Chicken barbecue dinner at Pandora UMC on March 22

Pandora United Methodist Church holds its annual chicken barbecue dinner on Sunday, March 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The church is located at 108 E.Washington St. (Rt 12), Pandora.

Tickets are $9 per person (dine-in or carry-out), including Ted Sigler & Don Diller's recipe chicken and “Val Cake” for dessert.
