Native American History Night presented by Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan District is on the main floor of the library on Monday, Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. Travel back in time to explore Native American culture in Ohio. Join Beth Theisen, naturalist with the Johnny Appleseed Metro Park District, and Tom Sciranka, local historian, to see examples of traditional clothing, tools, and hunting materials and to learn about the importance of local wildlife to the survival of the Woodland Indian culture.
Thursday program signifies apprentices qualify as journey person Industrial Machinist System Technician

In honor of National Apprenticeship Week, Rhodes State College, together with its partner GROB Systems, Inc., Bluffton, is recognizing 4th year apprentices at GROB at 10 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 14.
The apprentices have completed the required on-the-job training hours to be qualified as a journeyperson Industrial Machinist System Technician.
Certificates of Completion of their Apprenticeship are issued by the Ohio State Apprenticeship Council and will be presented Thursday.

The Hancock Historical Museum, Findlay, is taking reservations for its 26th annual Victorian Christmas Dinner Saturday, Dec. 14, in a rural Jenera homestead. The Friday date is already sold out.
The dinner takes place at the Glick-Etler House, a restored 1853 farm house at 9085 Township Road 32, Jenera.
The hosts are Nathan and Lauren Etler. The home was built by Lauren’s great-great-great grandfather, Anthony Glick, a German immigrant and survivor of the Famous Dove shipwreck.
