15 minutes with Ben Kruse

Ben and Jodi

Interviewed by Mary Pannabecker Steiner

Long ago in another lifetime, you used to help your sister, Caroline, entertain our daughters when she was babysitting. Last I remember, you were working somewhere near Beaverdam, so I'm obviously behind the times. Explain briefly what you did after college in the way of work?

I heard A's laughter, so I wasn't too worried. It continued for a few minutes and the voices sounded closer. Sammy, our dog, was barking a bit wildly so I thought I should go down and investigate. Since I was wearing my pajamas, I put on a sweatshirt and headed downstairs.

When I got to the landing I was horrified.
