Bluffton residents Scott - Banman's Talk in a Box game at Book Reviews' Saturday event

Book ReViews, 123 S. Main St., celebrates Valentine’s Day all month with two special events plus a book discount, according to Dr. Christina Walton, store manager.

•  The creators of the game, “Talk in a Box,” Saturday, Feb. 6, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. 
• Jenny Frankart of Rustic Bendz, Saturday, Feb. 13,  from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Stan Scott and his wife, Nancy Banman of Bluffton, created a game that involves “more than small talk…talk that matters.”

Awareness event Feb. 10 for basketball player diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma

The Bluffton University men’s basketball team will raise funds and awareness for cancer during an event in honor of a fellow teammate.
 
“’Hop’ on board to fight lymphoma,” will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 10, during the men’s and women’s basketball double-header against rival Defiance. 

The women’s home game begins at 6 p.m. with the men’s game to follow at 8 p.m.

Funeral service Monday for Etta Jo Huber

Etta Jo Huber, 86, died Feb. 5, 2016, at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Rockport United Methodist Church, Rockport.  Pastor Rich Rakay officiating. 

Visitation will be Sunday from 2 – 8 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.

Police looking for man wearing hoodie with red bag

Bluffton police sent the following Nixle alert this morning at 10:39 a.m.:

Police are looking for a male wearing black hoodie and jeans. Possibily has a red bag. Last seen in Jefferson Street and Main Street area.
