This street painting project is not a creation of BHS seniors

They are painting Main Street, but it's not the BHS seniors.

Zimmerman Painting is involved in creating a new paint scheme for Main Street. This week the firm is removing and replacing the crosswalks at the following Main Street intersections:

   • College
   • Franklin
   • Church-Cherry
   • Vine
   • Elm
   • Jefferson

Two more years and this photo is one-half century old

Here's another gem from the Dick Boehr collection. This photo was taken in 1967. Today it is the Citizens National Bank parking lot south of the bank and north of the post office.

Here's the situation when this photo was taken:
There are two buildings in the photo. The building on the left was at the time the Vide-Vidella Dress Shop. The building on the right was the Mau Russ Shop. John Skelly owned these buildings.

Bluffton Community Swimming Pool's final open date for the summer is Sunday, Aug. 23.

 

First National Bank celebrates 25th anniversary in Bluffton this week

Thursday, Aug. 20, marks the 25th year anniversary of the grand opening of First National Bank’s Bluffton branch. To celebrate the anniversary the Bluffton branch will host a weeklong celebration for customers and the community starting Monday, Aug.17th.
