Icon's artist of the month created yesterday's snowplow piece

Riley Pearson, Bluffton High School sophomore, is the Icon’s March artist of the month.

Riley’s state award-winning snowplow drawing was the featured photo on the Icon yesterday.

She has taken Art 1 and Art design/com.

“I plan to go to college and have some type of art major,” she said. “I would love to go into animation or illustration.”

Bluffton agencies receive United Way bonus

United Way of Greater Lima presents checks approximately 10% above announced funding levels

Last July, the United Way of Greater Lima and the United Way of Bluffton, Beaverdam, and Richland Township joined together to collaboratively serve the community. 

The goal was through combined efforts the two organizations would be able to effectively address community issues, maximize collective resources, and ensure the needs of the community were met well into the future.

Soccer: Men tie, women lose

The Bluffton University men's soccer team went at it with Mount St. Joseph for 110 minutes, notching the first tie during Head Coach Robert Richardson's tenure at the helm. Host MSJ and Bluffton finished 2-2 under the lights in Cincinnati.

Bluffton stands 0-2-1 overall and in the conference, while the Mount is now 1-1-1 in the Heartland Conference.

U6 soccer and flag football signup deadline extended to March 14S

Bluffton Family Recreation announces a its spring sports sign up for flag football and U6 soccer, according to Amy Byers, BFR sports director.

CLICK HERE TO REGISTER FOR EITHER PROGRAM

U6 soccer takes place from Tuesday, March 23, through Thursday, April 22. Flag football takes place from Saturday, March 27, to Saturday, April 24.

Registration deadline for both programs has been extended to Sunday, March 14. For more information contact BFR at 215 Snider Road, Bluffton or call 419-358-4150.
