Ohio passes bill for continuity for mail-in voting

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine issued the following statement after the Ohio General Assembly passed House Bill 197, which will enact numerous provisions to assist with the COVID-19 pandemic:

"I want to thank Senate President Obhof, House Speaker Householder, Minority Leaders Sykes and Yuko, and all members of the Ohio General Assembly who worked for the bipartisan and unanimous passage of House Bill 197.

Meet this winter's BHS student scholar athletes

Cheerleading, basketball, wrestling

Several Bluffton High School student athletes were named Northwest Conference scholastic athletes this week.

The qualify, the student must be a letter-winner in the sport. A gold level athlete maintains a grade point average of 3.5 to 4.0 during the season. A silver level athlete maintains a grade point average of 3.0 to 3.49 during the season.

18 Bluffton University student athletes honored

The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) has announced the winter honorees for Tom Bohlsen Academic All-HCAC.  Academic All-Conference selections have at least a cumulative 3.5 GPA and are varsity athletes. 

Eighteen Bluffton University student athletes were on the list.

Bluffton Farmers Market vendor meeting canceled

The Bluffton Farmers Market vendor meeting set for March 31 is canceled, according to Greg Probst, market director.

"It's hard to predict how long COVID-19 medical emergency measures will last, so please stay tuned to your email for our updates on the meeting and start of the season,” he said.
