She is one of the first people to greet Bluffton newborns

Dr. Jessica Aderman, D.O., is one of the first people to greet newborns at Bluffton Hospital.

Joining the staff on Nov. 11, Dr. Aderman is the second pediatric hospitalist at Bluffton. She and Dr. Jennifer Hohman, M.D., share duties of meeting each Bluffton Hospital newborn within 24 hours of birth.

In addition to Drs. Aderman and Hohman, Dr. Darrel Hotmire, D.O., Bluffton physician, also provides some newborn care at the hospital.

Thursday tech cred information session at Apollo

Apollo Career Center will host a Tech Cred Information session, Thursday, Dec. 12, 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m., in the Apollo Fred D. Goare Room. Over 40 businesses from around the state will be in attendance.

Presenters from Apollo Career Center Adult Education, The Ohio State University, Rhodes State College and UNOH will be sharing information with businesses about their training programs, as well as explaining how the State of Ohio’s Tech Cred program works.

Beaver Antonio Crossty named to 3rd team All-North Region

Antonio Crossty (Wooster) has been named Third Team All-North Region by D3football.com following a junior campaign in which he equaled the school record with 70 solo tackles.

The junior was named First Team All-Heartland Conference when the HCAC handed out its post-season hardware following the 2019 season. He was one of just four from the HCAC to be earn All-North Region honors.

BFR 3v3 soccer tourneys registration open until Dec. 15

Bluffton Family Recreation is accepting teams for its indoor 3v3 soccer holiday tournaments.

Tournament schedule
• Adults, Saturday, Dec. 28, cash prize
• Youth divisions, Sunday, Dec. 29

Deadline to register is Sunday, Dec. 15, and the team registration fee is $75.

Next BFR School Day Out Camp is Dec. 20

Bluffton Family Recreation is accepting registrations for its Friday, Dec. 20, School Day Out Camp, according to Daniel Tinch, BFR executive director.

The camp is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and is available for youth ages 5 to 12. Price for members is $15, program participants $30.

Wednesday's recycling pick up moved to Thursday this week

Truck issues have caused Republic Recycling to delay the normal Wednesday, Dec. 11, Bluffton reycling pick up until Thursday, Dec. 12, according to Jesse Blackburn, village administrator.
