Stop and smell the gaillarda

We continue our series of photos of flowers blooming in the Ada railroad depot park. You can't miss the park. It's on Ada's Main Street and is worth the trip from Bluffton. Stop and smell the gaillarda (featured today). Also, pause and admire the dianthus, scabiosa, speedwell and lots of day lillies. Watch for more flowers to smell all week. These flowers are also featured on the Ada Icon this week.

YFC House Project on South Bentley open to the public July 6

The YFC House Project will have an open house at the 160 S. Bentley Road (near I-75) property from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, July 6.

PHOTOS AND A FLYER SHOWING SPECS OF THE PROPERTY ARE IN ATTACHMENTS AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS STORY.

The open house enables the public see the final project, to thank those that have helped in the project, to let people know more about the ministry of Youth For Christ in the Bluffton / Pandora area and to let potential buyers see the property.

Todd Gratz, formerly of Bluffton, - brother of Kevin Gratz - and former editor of the Bluffton News read our story about Henry Huber and "knee high by the Fourth of July." (Click here to read that story.)

He took one of the iconic photos of Farmer Huber in 1972 and sent us a copy from his personal collection.

Thanks Todd.
