Koenig and Parkins all-NWC girls' first team

Two Bluffton High School girls' basketball player, both underclassmen, were named first team all-Northwest Conference, as voting was recently completed by league coaches.

Alivia Koenig, freshman, and Abbie Parkins, junior, were named to the first team. In addition, another underclassman, Andie Schmutz, junior, was named honorable mention.

Bluffton finished third in the NWC with a 6-2 record. The team, loaded with underclassmen, went 15-6 overall.

Fred Rodabaugh re-elected president of Bluffton Housing Corp.

Bluffton Housing Corp., the board that oversees Vance Street Apartments and Riley View Apartments, reorganized for 2016 during its Feb. 9 stockholder's meeting.

The following officers were re-elected: Fred Rodabaugh, president; Ed Yeager, vice-president; Deb Beer, secretary; and Sam Diller, treasurer.

Three board members were re-elected to the board. They areYeager, Rodabaugh and Bob Fett. Each will have a three-year term.

Continuing board members are Beer, Wally Buroker, Mary Fett, Dr. Matthew Jordan, Lois Goodman and Kathy Rode.

Tickets on sale for murder mystery dinner theatre at The Centre

Tickets are now on sale for The Centre's murder mystery dinner theatre, according to Brenda Gaines. 

"The Dame was Dead Wrong," performed by Mr. E. Murder Productions, will be
Murder Mystery Dinner Theater on Saturday, March 12. Doors open at 6 p.m.. Hors d'oeuvers will be served promptly at 6:30 p.m. The dinner starts at 7 p.m. and the performance at 7:30 p.m.

The number 21 nationally ranked Bluffton University women’s basketball team made history as they clinched a share of their first ever Heartland Conference title with an 81-71 road win over Hanover College on Saturday, Feb. 20.
