Spin around town with Velvet

Velvet was out enjoying the Sunday afternoon weather while riding in a carrier attached to the back of a bicycle.

His "parents" agreed that a spin around town is his favorite activity.

The pup is at home with Ruth and Rick Grihalva of Forever in Stitches fame. To see another view of Velvet, visit the mural on the side of their building north of the Presbyterian Church.

Iconic Bakery: Baked crumbed potatoes

Baked Crumbed Potatoes

6 medium potatoes, peeled and halved
½ c. Margarine, melted
1 c. fine dried bread crumbs
Salt and pepper

Wash and dry the potatoes. Dip in margarine, then crumbs, coating well. Repeat. Put on a shallow baking dish.

Add salt and pepper. Add any remaining margarine and crumbs on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Turn over and bake 20-30 minutes more until golden brown.

It's sinister, it's seniors and it's sabotage

That's Marley Runk (teacher) giving a lecture to several of her students. Actually, it's part of the cast of the Bluffton High School Drama Club fall presentation "The Sinister Senior Sabotage." It will be on the middle school stage Nov. 13 and 14. Watch for more photos,  some interesting videos and ticket details coming soon.
