Rest break

Rest break at the pool is a great time for all swimmers 18 and older to get wet. Here's a swimmer taking advantage of moment at the Bluffton Community Swimming Pool.

No, this scene isn't 45 years old!

This photo make senses with Icon viewers who walked Main Street Bluffton in 1970. Anyone younger than this may not believe this view is actually Bluffton.

Dick Boehr took this photo on Dec. 26, 1970. He stood on the Prebsyterian Church lawn, aimed his camera at Citizens National Bank and snapped the shutter.

Making hay

Make hay when the sun shines. Bob Badertcher takes advantage of a little break in the weather and mows one of the diamonds at the village park.

Fresh water shark spotted in Riley Creek

An Icon viewer confirmed rumors floating around that fresh-water sharks have, in fact, entered the Riley Creek stream system.

Earlier this week, the Icon obtained this photo sent by Tricia Burkholder from her cell phone with the proof.

"I spotted this on my way home from my mom's house. As we drove across the bridge by Buckeye Lake, we spotted a shark swimming in the Riley Creek," she informed the Icon.

Several unconfirmed sightings of large creatures with fins in the Riley have, up to this point, been poo-pooed.
