Elida falls to Bluffton boys' tennis team

Defiance next on the Pirate schedule

ELIDA - The visiting Bluffton boys tennis team defeated Elida 3-2 on a cold and windy Wednesday evening to win their first match of the season.

The Pirate netmen improved to 1-1 this season with the victory.

Pirate senior Eden Nygaard won at first singles, while teammate Thad Mittendorf also was victorious at third singles.

The Bluffton first doubles team of Eli Wagner and Braeden Ackerman supplied the third Pirate triumph. 

Elida won the second doubles match by default.

School for tattoo artists plans to open in Bluffton

Graduates will hold a Tattoo Guild Certificate

Bluffton School of Tattoo Artistry, (BSTA) hopes to open later this spring in a yet-to-be-announced downtown location, according to a franchise holding company setting up the school.

The school hopes to become nationally-accredited and associated with Tattoo America Accrediting, LTD. According to the school’s owners, headquartered in Ft. Collins, Colorado, from 20 to 35 students are expected to initially enroll in the 6-month program.
