Krehbiel Bridge 1943

This photo borders on the romanticized, but it shows a forerunner of Adams Bridge, originally called Krehbiel Bridge. The photo is from the the 1943 Bluffton College Ista.

Look closely in the middle of the far left and you can seek part of the word "KREHBIEL"" in wooden letters.

When Adams Bridge replaced Krehbiel Bridge, the bridge was rebuilt and relocated slightly to line up with the entrance to Ropp Hall.

Hey, Bluffton's on the map!

The 2019 Ohio Holiday Lights Trail map

The Ohio’s Holiday Lights Trail features 30 beautiful places to view decorations in the state and it includes Bluffton’s Blaze of Lights.

Here's how it describes the Blufton exhibit:

A folk art display started in the 1930s, a beautifully decorated vintage business district, and a residential decorating contest make the village a charming destination.

Assembly line

Marian Kissling breaks the candy into smaller pieces, Wade Oberly bags the candy and Basil Meyer weighs the final product. It's all part of the Bluffton Senior Citizens production of Ohio's best peanut brittle. Each Monday in November, nearly 20 volunters created the popular holiday candy. This year the center expects to produce 750 pounds. The peanut brittle is available at $5 a pound while supplies last. Check out additional photos in this series.
