Governor's office says Bluffton school staff eligible for vaccines next week

K-12 schools whose staff can be vaccinated next week have been notified. All other schools will be contacted shortly with information on when their K-12 staff will be permitted to receive a vaccine

Bluffton school staff is on the list for eligible school personnel in Ohio to begin receiving vaccines in Week 1 (next week), according to an announcement from the governor’s office.

According to the announcement, every public school district in the state - except for one - has agreed to resume in-person schooling by March 1, which was a requirement for staff to have early access to the vaccine.

James Pannabecker remembers: In Kindergarten, some of us went to Crow's because they were giving away free balloons.

When we returned, Miss Groman asked everyone who went to Crow's to stand up. I didn't stand, but went to Crow's. Everyone who stood up received a spanking.

Morgan Davies was retired from Tower Automotive

1960 graduate of Bluffton High School

Morgan Allen Davies, 78, of Bluffton, died Jan. 28, 2021 at his residence. Morgan was born Jan. 29, 1942, in Bluffton to the late Richard and Vernice (McElroy) Davies. On May 30, 1963, he married Patsy Caruso who preceded him in death on May 1, 2020.

Morgan was a 1960 graduate of Bluffton High School. He worked at and retired from Tower Automotive in Bluffton. Morgan served in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion Post #382, Bluffton.
