Rug artist Herb Grismore

He's the 2019 Senior Center volunteer of the year

Herb Grismore probably lost track of the number of rag rugs he’s created over the years at Bluffton Senior Citizens Center.

During the December center’s dinner meeting Herb was recognized as the volunteer of the year of the senior association for his contributions.

Chosen by the senior center board of directors, the award goes to a volunteer who has shown dedication to the center. Visitors and shoppers at the center can’t miss Herb, as he sits near the north wall working his artist talents on the rug loom.

You have the flu — now what?

Note: this article is provided by ONU Healthwise Pharmacy.
Flu season is here, and that means you or a loved one might have been diagnosed with the flu.

Can the Flu Be Treated?

Yes — the flu can be treated with antiviral medications.

Antivirals are medications that fight the flu in your body. These medications are not sold over the counter. They require a prescription from your doctor.

Antivirals are different from antibiotics because antibiotics are used to fight bacterial infections — not viral infections.

High protein, low carbohydrate diets are growing in popularity due to an international protein summit held in 2016 that explored nutritional research related to protein. After presenters made recommendations, food manufacturers picked up on their focus.
