Icon music review: Such Pretty Forks in the Road - Alanis Morissette

This album is a masterpiece, beautiful and surprising

Such Pretty Forks in the Road is the ninth studio album by Canadian-American singer, songwriter, and actress Alanis Morissette. It is Morissette’s first studio album in eight years. Morissette had been working on the album since at least mid-2017. But it was worth the wait.

Morissette was scheduled to embark on a world tour for the 25th anniversary of her 1995 album Jagged Little Pill in 2020, during which she would perform songs from her entire career, including songs from Such Pretty Forks in the Road.

BFR offering online program for Bluffton and Hancock County schools

On days when those school systems hold remote classes

Bluffton Family Recreation announces plans for an online school program for both Bluffton schools and Hancock County Schools for this fall, according to Daniel Tinch, BFR executive director.

The programs assist parents unable to be at home with their children during the online school days.

Both programs are for students ages 5 to 12.

Both programs allow students to complete online schoolwork in a supervised setting with academic help provided by Bluffton University Study Buddies (education majors).

Ada's Tavern 101 reopens after major renovations and remodeling

FROM ADA ICON - Ada's Tavern 101's reopening this month marked the conclusion of a major 4-month remodeling and renovation to the Main Street restaurant. Bill and Beth Ann Bass are the owners.

What’s new is obvious. 

It’s an enlarged. Previously able to serve about 40 persons “squeezed” in, it now can handle up to 70 patrons. The dining area square footage has increased from about 1,500 to nearly 2,200 square feet. The dining area takes on a completely new look that has several accents of the “old.”

2020 photos identified forever

There's one thing for certain about 2020. In the future, when reviewing old photographs, we will always know when the photo was taken in 2020. There will be masks worn and signs on businesses listing the number of customers allowed in the store at one time. Here's one of those 2020 photo examples. It's Book ReViews on South Main Street.

Putnam County farmland auction Sept. 14

Siefker Real Estate and Auction Co., announce a public auction at 7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 14, at the Columbus Grove Legion Hall, 405 Plum St., Columbus Grove.
