Carpenter to speak at library's spring tea April 28

The annual spring tea of the Bluffton Public Library will be April
28, beginning at 5:45 p.m. Tickets cost $12 and are available at the library. The
speaker will be past Bluffton University football coach and author Carlin
Carpenter. A light supper is included.
 

Vendors signing up for May 14 Bluffton arts and crafts show

Bluffton's 45th annual arts and crafts festival is only six weeks away.

Craft vendor booths are still available, according to the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce, show sponsor. A craft registration form is an attachment at the bottom of this story.

This year's show is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, May 14. The show streteches from the town hall to the post office as over 70 craft booth and chamber member booths are expected.

Booths are $40 until May 1. At that time booths are $60.

Claralice Wolf was a Wheaton College graduate

Claralice Hanna Wolf died on March 30, 2016. Claralice was born in Lampang, Thailand, on March 4, 1921, to Loren Stanley Hanna and Hazel Brunner Hanna, both of California. Both parents served as life-long missionaries in Thailand.

Claralice was educated at Kodaikanal International School in Tamil Nadu, India, and at Wheaton Academy and Wheaton College in Illinois, graduating in 1943. While a first-year student at Wheaton College she met Carl Wolf and abandoned her plan to become a medical missionary in favor of life as a minister’s wife. She and Carl were married in August 1943.
